note to self

Weight gain may be due to massive pigouts and not enough exercise. Not just the monthly water bloat. Goal: to work out 4 days a week. I'm going to see Matt today and talk about starting training again. Be sure to weigh again after 5 days.

go, team Awesome!

I remembered my gym clothes today! Woo hoo! And I learned a valuable lesson yesterday about staying away from my boyfriend's takeout Chinese food...

whole what??

What the hell?! My standby lunch sandwich gains 5 grams of fat just from switching from white bread to wheat! I mean, there's fiber, but dude! DUDE! But it is great to get nutrition info online. Now I know how much I was packing in with one of the sandwiches I used to eat almost daily. Good incentive to switch, and I don't miss the extras.

thwarted! Sort of.

I left my wallet at home and forgot my lunch! Luckily, there were cheese and crackers and my nectarines from yesterday in the office... but so much fat in cheese and so little protein! I hadn't noticed before. I notice that this site encourages hyperawareness of food, which sort of chimes in with my ED, but seems to be ringing it in a positive way. I am becoming obsessed with the truth about what I eat, and it makes it hard to cheat or engage in damaging behaviors. Hm.

interesting

As long as I avoid overtly crappy food, it's getting easier to stay under my limit. And going back to the gym is embarrassing, but necessary. I used to have definition! Now I am schlumpy. Oh, well. Now I have to avoid getting drunk and letting my beau feed me TV dinners! Those are so nasty! How can people eat them! They smell like formaldehyde and brimstone!

man!

I cannot win! I counted calories yesterday and was totally sensible, but I didn't eat *enough* and so I flunked my calorie goal! But I ate so much fruit and veg and lean protein that I was *full*. Gah!

It's very hard to eat fewer than 2000 calories. It's also hard to have hardly any fat and get enough protein! Very difficult with today's eating choices...but we can do it! (Right?? :P)

dammit!

Eating fewer than 2000 calories a day is hard! Also, I need to buy some nonfat yogurt that still has all the good bacteria in it. And kombucha -- that's good stuff.

scary!

Oh, man, I have got to cut out the drinkin'. Not only is it bad for my brain, it rockets my day over the calorie ceiling.

Welcome to Gyminee

Glad you joined! I'm finding it pretty easy to use - esp. since I can add my own foods right from the label and then always have them to refer to. Woot woot!

newbie

OK, I've tried other sites, but I want to see how this one goes! I would especially like to work with other people on staying motivated (and honest!).
