I've got the Phelps strain of the Olympic fever

And I still can't believe he eats 8-10K Kcals a day. It would be a full time job for me to eat that much and I'd get as big as a house!

The Return

Okay. Finally back to the gym after 3 weeks recovering from a nasty flu. Even an easy workout seemed hard. My legs were wobbly afterwards and I'm not looking forward to being sore tomorrow. But it's so good to be back!

Note from a "featured user"

I have to say that I am so grateful that I discovered Gyminee this year. My entire life has changed since February as I have learned to track my nutrition/exercise and gradually made the changes that have led to more rapid progress than I ever expected possible. I've never felt better. Thanks Gyminee!

Finally below 170!!!

After 3 weeks of plateaus where my weight hovered around 170-171, I finally hit 169, today. This is after increasing my daily caloric intake by over 200 to stay above my metabolic rate. Eat more, lose more--who knew!!!

No weight change for 1 week.

I was on antibiotics and in spite of intensifying the workout program and meeting my calorie goals--I had no overall weight loss--probably due in part to the digestive havoc wrought by the antibiotics. But in the same week I did lose 1 inch off my waist so there may be a bit of fat loss / muscle gain going on under the surface. I also think a good portion of my rather rapid weight loss so far was due to water retention loss as a result of lowering my sodium--the rest may be a bit slower to come off. And I don't have a definite weight I'm aiming for yet so I may reach my desired 12% body fat and only be 5 - 10 pounds lighter due to muscle building. To be continued....

After a week in Paris without Gyminee...

I was really pleased that managed to still lose half a pound in spite of not having my food or body scales, no gym, and no gyminee. I did walk for at least 8 hours everyday. With so many tempting delicacies I managed to watch my portions and ate almost everything I wanted--I only had difficulty on travel days with airport/airplane food which seemed so high in salt and fat compared to my normal meals. Back to regular diet!
