First

First weigh-in since the work crud started and I'm down 5 pounds! I've been running a fever for about a week now (very low grade). I think its an ear infection so I'm going to have that checked out today. I may wait until that's cleared up before I get back in the gym.

Finally

My weeks from hell at work are coming to a close.. I was here until 5:30 am last night, slept 3 hours then back at work and now it's 1:40am the next day. This will all be over tomorrow and after a recovery period I'm planning to get back into the gym.

Still Here

Sorry for the lack of progress and thanks for checking in! I'm under a lot of project deadlines at work and haven't been to the gym but I'm still eating well. I weighed in this morning and have lost a little. My goal for the next two weeks is just to maintain. I'm working some crazy deadlines and putting in 12-14 hour days including weekends. Be back soon!

I got back on the treadmill tonight after 7 days off. I walked for about 5 minutes, then ran at 5 for 30 seconds then slowed down to 3.5. At this point my shins were screaming at me, so I slowed it down for the rest until they stopped hurting then gradually increased my pace until I felt them start to burn and kept it at that level or below. I only did 2.19 miles in 40 minutes, but at least I finished my 40 minutes.

I'm curious as to what the dietician said, have you met with her yet? Keep at it, once you get your diet figured out, everything else will fall into place.

I haven't worked out in a while, mainly because I've been moving offices at work but I've been keeping my calories in the zone. I like tracking body fat and weight - I'm almost more proud if my weight stays the same and my body fat decreases.

I had quiznos for lunch and I'm DRAGGING this afternoon. I took a look at my breakdown and over half the meal was carbs.. I think that's the problem, my meals in the past haven't been that much % carbs.

I need to get my diet under better control. I'm not hungry hardly ever, and I'm taking in the right number of calories, but I need to shift those calories out of the fat and towards the protein. I'm going to get through this week and an out of town trip, next week I'm going to consult with my friend who is a dietician. I fix her blackberry, she fix my body.

New schedule

I changed clothes in my office and went to the gym after work for the first time today. I usually would go after 8pm so it was less crowded and people didn't see me huffing and puffing on the treadmill. Moving into my third week of working out, I'm over caring what other people think of me in the gym because I'm there for myself. It was good, not very crowded, I got the treadmill in the back that I like and did my 40 minutes. I think I'm much better off going right after work so I'm sure to get it in.

Birthday

I turned 31 last night and celebrated by not working out, and drinking. In hindsight, not such a good idea. Interestingly enough I have gained a lot of weight today, but my body fat is way down. I'm figuring that my hydration level is just way off.

I've started tracking body fat (as measured by my Tanita scale). I don't think it's very accurate and will probably fluctuate a lot based on hydration, but I'm looking for an overall trend.

Scheduling Problem

I slept in today. Way in. I think my body needed the rest. I'm not going to have time to go to the gym today after all. I cleaned the bedroom and bathroom, did some laundry and I have to start getting ready to go to a friend's wedding. I am going to have to start planning my days better. However, I did go 3 times this week, which for a first week back isn't bad, and I really started watching what I ate. My weight is down 2.8 pounds so far.

I ended up getting the new iPhone yesterday. stood in the sun for 3 hours.. I didn't go to the birthday party, which is probably good (no alcohol) but I didn't make it to the gym either. I'm still really sore from Wednesday, but I'm going to get some cardio in today.
